Tobacco Seeds Fixed To Glass Results

Not too long ago I setup a mini experiment where I tried to fix the seeds to the bottom of the analyslide using beeswax in one sample and nail polish in another. I also tried to fix the issue of evaporation with beeswax. While that test is inconclusive because the sample volume is too large to tell (and because I can barely see into the beeswax container) I have been using the seed growth as a control. In the two other samples, so far there is no seed growth. I’m assuming that the nail polish has introduced toxins to the seeds. Also for some reason, the beeswax sample isn’t growing either. This just goes to show you that natural isn’t always healthy!

With that said, I have sealed the new set of Crumley experiments with nail polish (the same kind used here) and now I’m hoping that the nail polish doesn’t seep into the sample and kill everything. Even if it doesn’t I should be skeptical of the results because of the introduced chemical. *Sigh* Maybe I should just scrap this trial and start over with the new seeds…

Ideas?
